Meet Our Team
Kanan Dhru
Founder
Kanan Dhru is the Founder of Research Foundation for Governance in India. She is a law-graduate from the London School of Economics and has a masters in Public Administration. She has worked with the National Knowledge Commission - a Prime Minister's Advisory Body in New Delhi and the World Health Organisation in Geneva. She has been an External Consultant with McKinsey & Company and a Visiting Scholar at the Stanford University. She is a Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum's Ahmedabad Hub and is one of the 37 'Indians of Tomorrow' featured by India Today in 2012.
Kelly Dhru
Founder
Kelly completed her undergraduate degree in law from Gujarat National Law University, India and went on to complete Bachelor of Civil Law and MPhil in Law from University College, Oxford University. Kelly has worked on research projects with organisations such as the World Bank and interned at the Harvard School of Public Health. She has taught at several colleges, including at Oxford University, and has designed and taught the course of Jurisprudence and Bioethics for the Stanford Program in Oxford.
Anish Daogalupu
Illustrator
Anish is the Visiting Professor at the National Institute of Design (NID) as well as founder of Punkha, a start-up working on design solutions. A graduate of the NID, Anish has previously worked with the Amar Chitra Katha studio in Mumbai.
Our Mentors
Margie Sastry
Margie has spent over 27 years as the Associate Editor and script writer for Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle comics. Following which, she took to TV script writing with Surabhi, Gurukul, Pehli Kiran, Yatra, Khana Khazana. Margie also teaches at institutions such as the National Institute of Design.
Sekhar Mukherjee
Sekhar has been heading the Animation Film Design discipline at the National Institute of Design and been mentoring the future generation of Indian graphic storytellers. He organises an international students’ animation film festival called Chitrakatha at NID; this has helped promote hitherto unknown stories from the Indian subcontinent.
