The Expansion Plan

From comics to a digital legal literacy ecosystem

Lawtoons has always been a comic and publishing venture. This is our plan to become a full digital legal and civic literacy ecosystem, built in four deliberate phases so that each new format is proven before we build the next.

PHASE 1

Next 6 months

Digital Comics

The near-term, foundational phase.

  • Book 3 in active development, continuing the Pugloo and Judgni story
  • Expanding beyond core constitutional themes into tribal rights, the Animal Welfare (Protection) Act, the Juvenile Justice Act, and global frameworks like the UDHR
  • Expanding languages: beyond Hindi and English into regional Indian languages, and into international languages as our themes go global

PHASE 2

Medium term

Interactive & Game-Based Learning

Children don’t just read about their rights, they practice using them.

  • A mobile app game where players navigate real-life legal and rights scenarios as Pugloo, guided by Judgni
  • Turns legal learning into something children choose to play, not homework they’re assigned

PHASE 3

Following phase

Animation & Story Worlds

Bringing Pugloo, Judgni, and Sinsin to life in motion for a generation raised on video.

  • Short-form animated episodes, around 20 minutes each, beginning on YouTube
  • Building toward longer-form storytelling, broader streaming reach, and licensing to OTT platforms
  • The same expansion of legal themes and languages, applied to animation

PHASE 4

Ongoing

The Digital Civic Classroom

Think MindSpark, but for civic and legal literacy.

  • A bank of interactive scenarios, cases, and quizzes that schools and teachers can assign directly
  • A dashboard for schools, teachers, learners, and parents to track progress
  • Built with, and for, teachers, eventually giving them the tools to create their own Lawtoons-style stories for their own classrooms

Every phase above runs on the same production backbone: an AI-assisted pipeline that speeds up scriptwriting, character generation, and storytelling, with a human reviewing and governing every step, the script, the art, the legal accuracy. It’s what lets a small, mission-first team compete with the pace of a much larger studio, without ever compromising the craft or the warmth that made children choose Lawtoons over their textbooks in the first place.
