Closing the justice gap, from the earliest possible age
Globally, 5.1 billion people, two-thirds of the world’s population, lack meaningful access to justice (Task Force on Justice, Justice for All, 2019). Our primary purpose is closing that gap by building legal and civic literacy young, before the distance between people and the law has time to set in.
OUR PRIMARY GOAL
SDG 16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
16.3 Promote the rule of law at the national and international levels and ensure equal access to justice for all
16.7 Ensure responsive, inclusive, participatory and representative decision-making at all levels
16.10 Ensure public access to information and protect fundamental freedoms, in accordance with national legislation and international agreements
16.B Promote and enforce non-discriminatory laws and policies for sustainable development
Three additional goals run alongside it in our work:
SDG 4 Quality Education
Legal & civic literacy content built for how children actually learn
SDG 5 Gender Equality
Stories that dramatize the law’s role in women’s and girls’ rights
SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities
Multi-lingual content so that legal knowledge isn’t limited by income or geography
Everything in this document, the comics, the game, the animation, the classroom platform, is in service of that one purpose: a generation that meets the law with confidence, not intimidation.
